2012 Independant Self-guided Cycling Tour in Beaujolais vineyards Beaujolais is part of the Burgundy wine area… This tour will guide you across 70km of marvellous Beaujolais countryside: - The 10 Crus region: from Saint-Amour to Brouilly which represents 25% of the Beaujolais wine production - The « Green » Beaujolais or the Beaujolais of Forests: the Beaujolais reaches its highest point at 1009 m (Mont Saint-Rigaud) and the vines are cultivated up to 400 m altitude, - The “Pierres-Dorées”: from Brouilly to the outskirts of Lyon, you will discover ochre coloured villages. DEPARTURES
: EVERYDAY DAY 2 - Saint-Amour / Villié-Morgon - 23km - This day is dedicated to the discovery of the 10 Crus region, through Juliénas, Moulin à Vent… DAY 3 - Villé-Morgon / Vaux en Beaujolais : 19km - Route across the « appellations » of the Beaujolais Villages. DAY 4 - Vaux en Beaujolais / Ville Sur Jarnioux : 25km - Day through the Beaujolais of « Pierres Dorées » (Saint Julien, Gleizé, Jarnioux, Bagnols…) to the Valley of Azergues. DAY 5 - Departure - Transfer to Saint-Amour. End of the tour. (Possibility to spend an extra night in Saint-Amour or Ville sur Jarnioux).
