2012 Independant Self-guided Cycling Tour in vineyards of the Loire Valley

DEPARTURES : EVERYDAY
DAY 1 - Arrival - Participants arrive by their own means at their 2* hotel in Blois in the afternoon. Meeting with a Promenades en France representative who will give you instructions and the essentials to have a successful tour (road-book, maps, tourist information...).

DAY 2 - Blois - Contres – 50km - After breakfast, cycling through Cheverny and its famous castle, through the surrounding landscape of forests. Immerge yourself in the Renaissance…

DAY 3 - Contres - Montrichard ~57 km - After breakfast your road will be following the river of Cher. Once again you’ll go back in time: castles, Roman ruins, olds abbeys…

DAY 4 - Montrichard - Amboise ~50 km - This day biking will be devoted to one of the most famous castle of the Loire Valley: Château de Chenonceau. Following the road along the river Cher in the direction of Amboise you’ll discover the old place where were living Kings of France.

DAY 5 - Amboise - Amboise ~ 50km - After breakfast, loop ride of about 50KM. Or for those who prefer visiting Amboise: the discovery of the Castle of Amboise where was born Charles VII, or Clos Lucé, the place of stay and work of Léonard de Vinci.

DAY 6 - Amboise - Blois– ~50km - Après breakfast, departure in the direction of Blois along the river Loire.

DAY 7 - Departure - End of our services.
