Provencal markets and villages in Luberon
Discover a local market: in Roussillon on Thursday and in L'Isle sur la Sorgue on Sunday. As the markets take place in the morning only, the order of visits will change accordingly. In Isle-sur-Sorgue, free time to discover the antiques shops along the canals. Later, wander in the exceptional hilltop village of Gordes which ranks among the most beautiful villages in France. A photo stop at Senanque abbey is included during the lavender blooming season, (between mid-June and mid-July only) to take pictures of the lavender field. Another stop is scheduled at the “boutique” of the Lavender Museum (closed in January) where you will have the possibility to try out an exclusive line of natural cosmetics made of locally produced AOC fine lavender essential oil. The tour continues toward to the colorful village of Roussillon and its ochre cliffs, pass through Bonnieux, a picture perfect Provençal village and return through the picturesque and winding Combe of Lourmarin. Photo stop in Lourmarin, famous for its Renaissance castle.

Arles, Les Baux & Saint-Remy de Provence
The itinerary will lead you to the Grand Rhône River bank where stands the ancient city of Arles (UNESCO World Heritage). In the footpaths of Van Gogh, you will discover the roman remains with the amphitheater and the antique theatre, Saint-Trophime church (carved portal from 12th century), the Forum Square, the Hôtel-Dieu (former chartity hospital) and Van Gogh’s Café. Lunch on your own in the village of Les Baux de Provence which has kept its medieval layout with its narrow streets and the ruins of the castle. In the afternoon, the tour contnues to the nice old town Saint Rémy de Provence, through the Alpilles mountains. You will discover the famous Roman site "Antiques". Possibility to visit the mental hospital of Saint Paul de Mausole where Van Gogh was confined.

A day in Provence
Set off to explore the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Provence ! The tour starts in the Alpilles mountain range. Located on a rocky spur overlooking the valley, the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence will lead you to an unforgettable journey into the past. Then, the tour will take you to the Pont du Gard, world best preserved Roman aqueduct which used supply water to the city of Nîmes. Your next stop is Avignon, the majestic city of the Popes. Take a look at Saint-Benezet Bridge, famous for the children's song “Sur le Pont d'Avignon”, and see the Popes' Palace which is the largest gothic style palace in Europe (entrance tickets not included). In the afternoon, discover two of the most beautiful villages in France: Roussillon is built at the top of an ochre cliff, and provides visitors with a good example of the harmonious combination of man and nature. All houses are beautifully tinted with local ochre. Gordes is a village erected on the top of a cliff, its fortified castle and church dominate the typical houses of the village which were built with stones from the rock on which they are fitting.
